Fishing Report: San Carlos Sonora

Hello, here it comes again your generic fishing report...I got a comment that said its always the same...OK I will embellish it for you.  The week started off with it being like DO DO...wind, clouds and fish the size of a baby trout...the fishing stank...OK there you have it...talk to you next week.

OK I am kidding, fishing started with Abel on Jonjen 2 on Monday with some locals from the units above, liking the small reels and light lines...hooking and getting small greenies along with a couple of triggers...they had fun with us,  and we are going to try again later in the week to get them hooked up with some bigger fish...Last year we got them hooked up on a fly rod with some big Yellow tail they had a hoot...broke off but they had a great time while it lasted...

Tuesday saw us out with Roberto on Jonjen 1, going bottom fishing at his grouper hole...The fellows from Colorado having a ball and complaining there arms hurt from reeling up the 380ft over and over...Ending the day with several groupers and White fish and lots of vacuum seal bags full of fresh fish....

Wednesday saw Abel out with our meat fisherman from AZ.... looking to catch that ever elusive YELLOW TAIL TUNA after a long search they caught this beautiful specimen...SEE ATTACHED PHOTO...Cabela´s would be proud of this hardly ever seen specimen...

We have had a somewhat slow week of fishing...Little charters but the fish are there and are just a bit finicky...Heard of a boat or two going way North 25+ miles and getting alot of Snapper and big Yellow tails...So in ending this weeks report the fish are here and we need fisherman...thank you Jon and Jen and the animal family...

Happy April Fools....

PS: We are going to be introducing a new program for the 1st time fisherpersons, men, women and especially kids...Fishing 101 with a introduction into fishing, the how to bait, set and reel and cook some of the species of fish for the season we are in....The habits and how we target the fish...the hows and why´s some things are used and why certain fish do certain things..Tuna, Dorado and Billfish for example...

We really would like any comments because its for you... thanks Jon and Jen
