Fishing in San Carlos with Jon Jen

Good day my fellow fisher persons, well we are happy to report the fishing is getting better, actually I should rephrase that, the fishing was good before with lots of fish but just finicky...Now all of a sudden the bite has turned on....

Water temps where all over the board..One day 65° then two days ago 71° and some blue water and lots of debris...so its a matter of time before the Dorado and Billfish will be here...Last hearsay report I had was yesterday of Dorado at 25 miles..Small but Dorado...

Sunday saw Abel out on Jonjen 2 working the Sea Mounds hooking and losing two Yellowtail...Lots of fish and finicky again...Monday we decided to go to the Island...San Pedro a 17 mile boat ride...the fish filled the screen of the Lowrance....With our customers getting two nice Yellows and breaking off three others...Abel said some horses, big big fish taking them into the rocks...Roberto on Jonjen with one our long time customers from Rio Doso, bottom fishing for grouper getting a lot of fish with two Flounder looking fish...told very rare to catch rounded tail..don´t have a name for yet but will get...Anyway doing well as usual for our customers...Lots of good eating fish...Calico, Pargo, Grouper and White fish....

Later in the week Abel on Jonjen 2 going to the Island once again getting some nice Yellowtail...Panga fisherman handlining and doing very well with there live bait also at the Island..Loading up on big Yellowtails one after another...A picture from yesterdays charter of the two big Yellowtail caught Jon Snook and John Woods ...So will close for the week and remind everyone summer is coming and the fishing is only going to get better and better...Summer is almost here!!!!

Jennifer drives to Tucson almost everyweek and says the drive is easy and just use common sense and leave early and drive in daylight, mainly because of lightless cars, animals etc at night...Bye from sunny and beautiful San Carlos...Jon and Jen and the animal family...
