ENSENADA - Poco Cielo Hotel Trauma Care and Life Support Corse

On May 3, 2010, Poco Cielo Hotel at Km 59 will again be hosting an event to benefit the local community. Health care providers from the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center Emergency Department in San Bernardino county will provide advanced instruction in trauma care and life support to local volunteer ambulance crews. The course will include basic life support, treatment of fractures and severe bleeding, as well as extrication techniques for vehicular accidents. The volunteer ambulance drivers will receive both lectures and practical experience by training aids to further their ability to respond to traumatic events and safely transport injured patients. The instructors are all currently practicing medical staff at the second busiest trauma center in California. In addition, this year, a film crew will record the process for a future documentary on the mutual cooperation between the two countries.

This is the second year that Cheryl Jimenez and Poco Cielo Hotel have graciously provided their patios for the event and their hotel and restaurant catering services to the attendees.
