LORETO - Loreto Fest 2010 "By the Sea"

April 30, May 1, & 2, 2010 - Three Days of fun, great food, exciting seminars, workshops and games is fast approaching. We look forward to seeing everyone.

Just south of Loreto in beautiful Puerto Escondido, this special three-day event just gets better every year.

Loreto Fest proceeds help support the higher education of students from our rural villages and mountain ranches. Our Bay clean-up has been a proud tradition since the first Loreto Fest.

Our theme this year is “By the Sea”. Come as your favorite sea creature, Mermaid or “whatever” By the Sea. at the costumed dance. Special daily events for children and youth.

A Silent Auction is also part of the fun.  All monies collected from the sale of this auction go to the education and support of our local schools in Ligui, San Javier & some University students.  There are a few items that may go to the sailing program.

We are asking for item donations to add to this year's Silent Auction.  Perhaps you will be making some snazzy jewelry, a painting, photo, shell art, boat stuff, or putting together a basket of snacks, wine, or ingredients to make a special meal.  Whatever it is, let your imagination go creative and wild!  We want to get everyone excited about participating in the Silent Auction.

Master Quilt Maker Patty Noyes has sent us this picture of her quilt that she will be donating to Loreto Fest 2010. Titled "By the sea... by the sea.." it will be entered into our silent auction for Loreto Fest 2010. Please keep in mind it is an unfinished project with a missing mystery square.  Also, the final arrangement of blocks may be slightly different than the photo.

All Loreto Fest silent auction participants have come to know Patty's superior quilt-making skill and look forward to another magnificent quilt.
