SAN FELIPE - Shoebox Project 2010

In 2007, we handed out 500 shoeboxes to needy children in the Los Arcos area of San Felipe. In 2008, we collected over 700 boxes and donated boxes to the children in Las Minitas area as well as many in San Felipe. This year we hope to increase the number of boxes collected as the need is greater than ever before.
Some suggestions for gifts to be put in the boxes…
small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, toys that light up or make noise (with extra batteries), Slinky®, etc.
pens, pencils and sharpener, crayons or markers, stamps and ink pad sets, writing pads or paper, solar calculators, coloring and picture books, etc.
toothbrush, toothpaste, mild bar soap (in a plastic bag), comb, washcloth, small shampoo (in a plastic bag) or anything else you can think that would help.
T-shirts, socks, ball caps; sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewelry, watches, shake or wind up flashlights.
Please mark on your package, the sex of the child and age (infant, 2 to 4, 5 to 9, 9 to 11, teen). Please wrap the top and bottom of the box but do not tape it shut (may need access for customs).

Packages may be dropped off at the Food Bank building on the way to San Felipe. Food items also accepted.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
