PUNTA BANDA - Farmers Market and Mexican Christmas Art Bazaar

Farmers Market and Mexican Christmas Art Bazaar at Bajamar
Saturday, Dec. 11, noon-5 p.m. (Farmer's Market beginning at 10 a.m.) Free wine tasting, music and more.

Everyone is invited to this free, artful holiday event! On Saturday, December 11, Santa Barbara at Bajamar and Bajamar Premier Properties are inviting the public to visit their patio office area at Bajamar in Ensenada (kilometer 77.6 on the toll road) for an exhibition of fine art, free wine tastings (and wine to purchase), margaritas, music featuring Augstin Sanchez, and more. The Mexican Christmas Art Bazaar will begin at noon and go until 5 p.m. Proceeds from sales of margaritas and beer will benefit the Baja Scholarship Foundation, a nonprofit organization that helps send needy Mexican children to school.
The bazaar is the project of the Rosarito Art Fest consortium, a group of Baja's top artists who, in October, staged an art fest in Rosarito that attracted more than 5,000 people. Among those fine artists whose work will be shown at Bajamar are Juan Angel Castillo, David Silvah, Rocio Hoffman, Francisco Cabello, Lucille de Hoyos, Becris, Najera, Esau Andrade (one of whose paintings is shown above), Ligia Santillan, Tonahiuh, Amy Gastelum, Daniel Franco, and Aida Valencia. Their art will be for sale,, with a goal of raising monies to assist in establishing the Art Fest group as a nonprofit organization.
Preceding the art fest, there will also be a craft fair and market at the Bajamar Whale Watch, from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m., with vendors offering artisan foods like breads, tamales, and jams; jewelry and ornaments (by artists including Martina); fabric creations; produce and more.
