ENSENADA - Carnaval 2011 “Fiesta Tropical”

March 3-8: Carnaval de Ensenada 2011 “Fiesta Tropical”
One of the city’s largest and most popular events, Mardi Gras attracts a multitude of national and international visitors. Enjoy regional foods and libations, games and rides, live entertainment, music and dancing in this year’s festival zone located at the northern end of Blvd. Costero (Lázaro Cárdenas) between Av. Miramar & Av. Castillo, open from approximately 6pm-2am on Thursday, Friday and Monday, from 4pm-2am on Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday. Traditional festivities include the Quema de Mal Humor (Burning of Bad Humor) on Thursday; the Coronation of the Royal Court on Friday; and the Baile del Marido Oprimido (Oppressed Spouse Dance) on Monday. The Carnaval parades start at 2pm on Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday on
Av. Juárez & Av. Castillo, then continue to Av. Ruiz to Av. Virgilio Uribe to Blvd. Costero, finishing near Calle Diamante.
