NEWS - Bisbee’s Tournament Update

LOS CABOS, Mexico — Two of the biggest billfish tournaments of the year — the Bisbee’s Los Cabos and Bisbee’s Black and Blue Marlin Tournament — start in October.


Registration begins Oct. 14 for the Los Cabos tournament, with a mandatory meeting for captains, anglers and deckhands scheduled at 6 p.m. A kickoff cocktail party follows at 6:30 p.m. at the Baja Cantina Dockside, and the shotgun start for Day 1 of fishing is at 8 a.m. Oct. 15 off the Baja Cantina Beach Club on Medano Beach. Tournament fishing stops for the day at 5 p.m., and weigh-ins will be in front of Puerto Paraiso Mall.

Day 2 of fishing starts at 8 a.m. Oct. 16 and lines will be out of the water by 5 p.m. An awards celebration is planned on the beach starting at 8 p.m.

Registration for the Bisbee’s Black and Blue Marlin Tournament starts at noon Oct. 18 at Puerto Paraiso Mall. A captain’s meeting is set for 6 p.m., followed by a kickoff cocktail party at 7 p.m.

Fishing is set for Oct. 19-21, with shotgun starts at 8 a.m. each day. A weigh station will be set up in front of Puerto Paraiso Mall, and will be broadcast live over the Internet at bisbees.com
